A coil could cause a weak-power scenario. If you have a known good one, I'd swap just to see if symptoms change. If the problem is the coil, be careful about driving the car like this as you'll be running rich and poisoning the car. Personally, I doubt the coil is the issue, but it could be.
I would really test the intake for leaks - you can buy a cheap tester from siliconeintakes.com and test the entire system including the intercooler and intake manifold. You just need an air compressor (the kind you inflate tires with it fine) that can make about 20psi. It's a good tool to have around wit a turbo car. :)
