If you don't have the original manual from the aftermarket unit, look for it online using the manufacturer and model number in a google search. Just about any radio manual is available online in PDF format. The manual should have the install/removal instructions and the wiring diagrams. If you're lucky, the installer used a kit to connect to the factory harness. If you're not, then they cut the harness apart and you'll have to source replacement connectors. The Bentley SAAB service manual has the appropriate wiring diagrams. They changed a bit from year to year.
Be aware that the original Clarion units are pretty dated by this point. They are good units, but the best the head units had were cassette decks. The CD player was a separate unit installed in the lower din. You'll need the appropriate OEM cables and cages to connect the two units--unless they left the cables behind the dash. You can't get mp3 player functionality unless you have SAABradio.com add a jack to your unit (or use a cassette adapter or FM signal hook-up). If you are serious about going back to OEM, SAABradio can probably get you everything you need. Their rebuilts are top-notch. Used units may work when purchased, but the electronics are old and may or may not crap out on you shortly. The CD players are especially prone to failure at this age.
