Thanks for all the great replies last week to the inquiry of turning a 900 into a camper. I tried a couple of things last week, but the best by far was what we tried this weekend at Bear Lake, Idaho. Saab Camper - check out the pic! Just remove the rear headrests and seat bottom, insert air mattress, and voila!!! It's even roomier than our 2-person backpacking tent! THe best part was the reactions that we got from campground attendants! They would ask when we pulled in, "Do you have an RV or camper?" I replied "Neither! We don't even have a tent!" Curious, they would ask what we are going to sleep in, and I took the opportunity to give a brief tour. After the tour, they were so impressed that camping was always offered free of charge! Now the wife is so excited that she has her sewing machine out to make custom curtains and nets to hang from the handles in the rear to store gear.
