I have not had that exact issue, second gear was popping out on an 89 T sedan. I eventually parted the car out due to rust. Here In Kentucky USA, but car must have been from salt and snow country before I bought it. I have read where engine or tranny mounts can cause some gears to pop out. Seems like a small concern as you hae hand on shiter knob anyway. Are you saying it's popping outwhile your hand is still on it waiting to shift to 2nd gear? BTW I was born in Kondidnin, and ocasionally converse with Mark B. He has a couple Saabs, buy I haven't seen him on the TSN lately. Hey where you find out what the cause is do a final post. It helps us all as sooner or later wehave simular issues. Best regards (to all) SS
