That is pretty bad. I usually try to catch them as soon as they start separating. easier to fix then.
You can just get a big curved upholstery needle and some heavy nylon upholstery thread and restitch them by hand if you've got a lot of time to kill--and patience. It's best if you stitch them back together using the original holes. You also have to double stitch them like a machine would stitch or you'll end up with a wavy seam. This job is no picnic. Wear work gloves or your hands will be raw from pulling the thread tight.
At this point though, you are probably better off pulling the skin and having an upholstery shop or tailor restitch them for you with their machine. It will come out better and shouldn't cost too much. The leather looks good, so I'd say they are good candidates for saving.
Its certain that the tufting wires have separated from the seat skins as well and you'll have to have new sleeves stitched in at the same time.
If you do decide to hand stitch the seats, you can sew the tufting wires directly to the extra leather and skip the sleeves. (see pic)
