Another Classic Saab left this earth last week when my
1983 Cranberry red 3-door Turbo 900 with 144K miles burned to death when the shop it was in exploded and burned.

I bought this car new out of the dealership. One tranny (busted tooth on reverse gear), one clutch and a cylinder head were the major repairs during 28 years of fun.

The car was up on the lift to replace a control arm bushing when a worker was dealing with the gas tank on another vehicle, there was apparently a spark and the fuel ignited. Luckily no one was hurt, but my car was totaled. A very sad sight! Black inside and out as was the building.

The insurance is valuing the car at $3,975 based on NADA.

Does this sound reasonable? Can I appeal and get more.

The car was certainly worth a lot more than that to me.

Would appreciate any thoughts.
