My 92 900 learned a new trick recently. Yesterday I downshifted into 2nd to make a left turn in a break in traffic on a 4 lane road. The car made it accross the traffic just fine but as soon as the back wheels touched the driveway where I work, iot stopped moving. It would not respond to the gas pedal and the RPMs sat at idle. I shifted into first and it bucked like I have never driven a manual transmission before. It stalled, I restarted and it drove fun through the parking lot. On the way home from work it bucked some at first (like I have been driving stick for a week) than drove fine for the rest of my 40 minute drive home. Over the past couple of days preceding this, it felt like it would loose power briefly on the highway in 5th gear and not respond to the gas. It wouldn't jolt or shudder like it did a couple years ago when I needed to have the spark amplifier and crank position sensor replaced.
I had a new slave cylinder installed my my very reliable Saab indy in tampa, florida a month ago before moving to Ohio to start a new job. At the time he told me that I have 50% of my clutch left and do not need to replace it.
Parts that were replaced in the last 2 years: Crank position sensor, spark amplifier, brand new slave cylinder (as mentioned above) coil, plugs, wires, distributer cap and rotor, brand new fuel pump, alternator and battery.
What could be wrong? I cant afford to have a car that I can't rely on, especially living in a new state with a new job. I don't know of any Saab indys that are less than 90 minutes away.
Maybe the car is upset that I looked at a 2001 9-3 that I mentioned on the general board a couple days ago. LOL.
Thank you for any ideas
