My Dad was the Saab guy and me just because that is how I was raised. I tried to relive my youth a bit with the 86 900S but after my Dad passed last year I have lost interest in Saabs.
Sold a 91 900S to my sister. She drove it for a few years until the tranny gave her problems with not going into 5th any more. Sold it for her.
Sold a 88 900S that I picked up cheap and was going to fix and flip. Sold for cost.
My 86 900S was very nice, very little rust and in great condition. Had a rare headliner and wood shift knob. Made it my own and drove it some while Dad was still in good health. He never really talked about it much but I could tell he liked having a SAAB in the family again. After 6 years of blood sweat and tears I sold it for what I had in her less labor of course. It was actually weird, a kid drove 2 hours plus to pick it up and wasn't even a Saab guy. He thought it was German. HAHA
He came with his Dad to pick it up. I got a little sappy and told him to be sure and tell his Dad how much he cared because you never know how long you have with your parents.
Anyway I'm getting long winded.
