I rented a mid-size in Florida last year and I was astonished that 23 years of "engineering" produced such a poor product. The turning radius was so bad that it almost caused me an accident. The acceleration was only adequate and the gas mileage garbage. The cockpit was not layed out well and seats did not give much lateral support. The only thing I liked was the climate control for passenger and driver and the stereo. It is hard to believe that my '88 SPG is superior in so many ways: drive-ability (solid feeling, cornering), simple driver friendly gauges, turbo acceleration on demand, heated leather seats, fighter plane good looks, and 31 mpg to top it all off.
