How do I get to the brake light switch!? Posted by gfreshski1 [Email] (#1116) [Profile/Gallery] (more from gfreshski1) on Fri, 25 Nov 2011 16:21:18 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Greetings all, I hope your Thanksgivings were great. My '92 Turbo 5-speed has brake lights that stay on. This just happened a couple of days ago. I removed fuse #31, so now I have no brake lights at all. I've read other posts that say you have to reach up the brake pedal to the brake light switch, and check and see if it went out of alignment. The problem is the lower dashboard is in the way, and I started taking darn near the whole dashboard out just to get to the switch. After an hour, I decided not to go any further and put everything back together. I thought I would just be able to crawl into the footwell and look up and see the switch. That wasn't the case. Anyone have any insight on how I can reach the brake light switch without taking the entire dashboard apart? Thanks in advance.
