Probably not much help, but..... Posted by vsfoxe [Email] (#1025) [Profile/Gallery] (more from vsfoxe) on Sat, 7 Jan 2012 11:02:27 In Reply to: ICV - AMM & Vac Line Questions, RC, Sat, 7 Jan 2012 03:34:43 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
First, SEARCH engine here offers lots of info. Second - I am bad with Acronyms - does ICV = Idle Control Valve? If so, you won't find much by searching for that on this board, since it is commonly called AIC (Automatic Idle Control). Apples = apples? Cleaning it might help - clean throughly with carb cleaner and then lube with WD40. That usually fixes them. Never heard of hooking up a 3-wire AIC in a 2-wire system, so cannot help there. I THINK that AIC can be found on a lot of Saab 9000 also.
The only AMM I know of which are correct for your car have Bosch P/N ending in -013 or -019.
Vacuum lines are always suspect on these cars. I guess 15-20 feet would do? For ID size, take one of yours and cut the expanded end off to see what really works. I THINK that I've been using 5/32"?
On my 1990 SPG, the high hunting idle was a distributor problem, but I don't know what, exactly. After I replaced the internal oil seal in thge distributor, the idle never acted up again.
Wish I had a salvage yarrd! Good luck. Vern
