It's hard to picture in your mind and equally as hard to be able to inspect it in the vehicle as well. Jon,(not me, the other "Jon") had an earlier post with a schematic that showed the location of the firewall in respect to the housing. That's how I figured out that the larger drain is in the part of the AC evap. housing that is in the engine compartment and the smaller(condensation drain)is located on the other side of the firewall, inside the passenger compartment. CBS, we'll figure this out come hell or high water, so - to - speak. I am happy to report that since the main drain is free and clear water will not enter the passenger compartment even when a gallon of water is dumped into the evap housing. I'll try to follow up on this, at a later date, when ALL of the potential cabin leaks have been addressed and I am sure that there are no leaks coming from the AC evaporator housing. My goal is to have a completely dry 1991 SAAB 900S. There are literally dozens of ways water can enter the passenger compartment. It's turned out to be a MUCH bigger job than I had anticipated. I've even got welding/patching to do. Thanks for working on this with me.
