The original cat is much better than most of the aftermarket ones. Are you sure it's the problem + not something else rattling? Do you plan to DIY this?
I swapped in a Starla exhaust from eeuro + a Bosal cat, DIY + it went alright, but alignment of the system was a bit fussy in part due to my inexperience, and in part due to the cat being awkward geometrically. Usually it's good to stick with 1 brand + starla exhaust is oem. I only put in a new cat because the old one was too corroded at 1 end to connect to anymore + the new system was a simple bolt-up end to end. anyway, the bosal has an integrated heat shield + that rubbed against the saab heat shield. btw, you might check that your heat shield is intact also - they rust up above the cat... I think it's probably a good idea to have the longer heatshield there, as the one on the cat itself is probably marginal + doesn't cover the pipe etc running under your center console wires... that said, one of ours is missing it (has a cat with integrated heat shield) + runs fine...
