Get a right angle drill (buy or rent) like this:

I'm sure you can rent them.
Use a left handed drill bit, designed to do its business while rotating counter clockwise (ordinary bits rotate clockwise). I got mine at a local WW Grainger, but you might be able to get one from a good independent hardware or auto parts store. The last time I had this problem, I was half way through drilling out the hole for the easy-out and the stud just backed itself out and dropped onto the garage floor. Was one of the easiest "horrible jobs" that I ever had to do on the car.
