They offer things like the rear axle, the 89+ transmission with the bigger pinion bearing, a steering rack, steering wheel column, fuel line from motor to fuel filter, one rear caliper, motor for the window washer fluid.. all of which are parts I needed and would cost well over 3000 trying to find part by part. I bought a parts car that still has the motor and turbo and everything else I don't need is kind of a bonus. Take a guess at the price I paid...... 900buck, that's right 900 with the title the car was sold to a guy that strips parts and sells them, and if a buyer wants to buy the hole car they can. The car I got was missing the hood turbo duct work, and the radiator, and needed to tow it home. After I'm finished stripping parts I'll call one of them guys that buy running or non running cars and get 50bucks for it, so in the end 850, for parts galore. If you locate a running or non running car tell your significant other that your only going to have the thing until you can get the parts you need off it, and in the end you'll get 50 bucks when someone comes picks it up for free (have the title) and you'll save bookoo bucks. granted you'll be flipping a coin on if the transmission is toast in the junk car but their out there, mine had a busted clutch hydraulic line and a toasted turbo that I'm sure is what put it into the hands of the guy I got it from. Craigslist is where you can find them. search your area for Saab and they will pop up. I had to drive 100miles and 100 miles back towing it. still all worth it for the stuff I need. The classic 900 is a gr8 car and will require hard to find parts like inner c.v. joints,.. heck you name it, as for ball joints you might want them new, but shocks.. the car you find will have 4 of them chose a good one. Its a win win, save money, save parts that would other wise be crushed, and after your done having fun a guy will show up and give you 50 bucks and magically take the car away (any junkyard pays cash)
