I'll be direct to save time:
If you can operate a mig welder, (or any welder for that matter) you surely know how to make a cardboard template of the rotted areas in question. If you were trying to make a complete quarter panel from a piece of flat stock 18 gauge sheetmetal, I'd strongly advise against it, but these parts you need do not need to look flawless they just need to be structurally sound. Forget the Vector PDF thing and grab a piece of carboard, tape measure and a sharpie marker. Make your templates and transfer them to your piece(s) of sheetmetal.Get a thickness that seems appropriate to duplicate what's already there, pre-rust situation. (Can't remember the gauge number there, sorry) Get the car safely supported, get a creeper and a grinder and a cutoff wheel tool with a few extra cutoff wheels, and a mig welder and we'll see you in about 8-12 hours. Good luck. These cars ARE worth saving, but it CAN be a LOT of work! Bob
