SPG Rims on Convertible Too Wide & Rubbing Brake Lines? Posted by 88SPGClone [Email] (#1317) [Profile/Gallery] (more from 88SPGClone) on Thu, 24 May 2012 06:04:23 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
So I bought a set of used 900 SPG rims and had them totally refurbished for my pristine 90 convertible. So I took them to the tire shop for mounting and they indicate that the SPG rims are 6.0" and rub the rear brake line. Clearly they wouldn't install at that point. The car currently has the Saab Directionals (3 holes and side specific). The tire shop indicated the Directionals (currently on the car) are 5.5" I am not aware of 6.0" SPG rims or for that matter SPG rims rubbing the rear brake lines. Seems like I need to figure out how to move/redirect the rear brake line. Does this make sense or what gives?
FYI. The restored rims are NOT Super Aeros.
