Yep, as Bill pointed out the flywheel turns anti-clockwise as does the distributor shaft. The engine actually rotates the same direction as all conventional automotive engines but because it's installed front-to-back and you are looking at it's rear end you see it spinning "backwards", anti-clockwise.
