Thanks guys. Zig, I've got a home-made caliper piston tool that seems to work, so that's pretty covered. Justin, when I was trying to squeeze the new pads on last week, I took out the bolts and the rotor would not come off. So I checked in the blue 5-volume maintenance manual set that came with the car (traded an original pencil drawing for the set as I have with most of the best accessories that I've got - I love trades). Anyway, it said something about having to pull the rotor off with a special tool and having to press it back on. Am I totally mistaken? I'll check again tonight. Anyway, can anyone think of a reason why the new pads won't fit? I've turned the caliper piston all the way out, but it's the other side pad that won't go in. What am I doing wrong?
