Early Saab Alarm Settings

My son's '91 'vert has the Saab Alarm with 2 DIP switches. Positioning them in unison sets the unit to Manual or Auto mode. Switching them separately yields no function.
Are there fine adjustments that can be made to change the delays?
No, I'm not going to install another alarm system, this one works okay.
Of course, if someone has a remote, I'd be all over that!
