We have a high mileage but great running 85T manual trans. Recently the plastic block on the shift rod broke. Was wondering what the interchange is on that shift rod. I know I had the same setup on my old 83na. I also remember the trans went to an internal spring for the neutral gate in 86. I know of a 1980T with a 5 speed that is available for scavenging. Would the shift rod out of that be the same as a 85? If not how far back will fit?
