Hi Sam, the number on the long spring 8 valve (old) vacuum advance actuator arm is 2721. The free length is 2.480 (63mm) and the wire size is .055" (1.4mm) there are 9 coils. The spring I use in my A.I.D.'s has a free length of 1.03125 and the wire size is .0787" (2mm) the outside diameter is .750" (19mm) there are 4 1/2 coils. The original spring in the 16 valve vacuum advance unit has a .707" diameter, free length is 1.110" (28.2mm) and the wire size is .072" (1.829mm) with 5 coils. As soon as I have time I'll try one of the 8V long springs in my A.I.D. on our daily driver and let everyone know how it worked out!
