I spent some time with the 3M guys at a Helicopter trade show. I think they were just there to play golf and eat well.....they didn't have any technical expertise on the 3M material, but there was some there that is also used for the no skid "step" material for getting on and off a utility helicopter.

Anytime you put an aerospace or aircraft product ID on something the price rockets ( even bottle rockets are expensive with these guys )......

So, I don't have a source for this, but I'm sure there is a solution. I'll ask around and see if they can buy the bulk material for the no skid deck material used on oil platforms that the helicopter lands on for personell egress....that stuff would have a commercial part number.
