There are so many good newer cars at a $5000 price that it's hard to make a case for our cars except to the enthusiast. The enthusiast market is at it's peak purchasing power right now. Their age range is 42 to 64 using 1988 as 900T's peak year.
I am enjoying this second go around with the 900T but it's greatly lacking in refinement compared to more modern cars. The exact reason I bought it again. It's raw and when you've been in newer cars for awhile it's shocking. I drove mine home from where the car carrier dropped it. My first thoughts were not good. Everything rattled and was louder than I thought possible.
One year latter with all but one rattle worked out, realiblity trusted and knowledge that I can do many of the service jobs myself it's great. Would not trade it for anything.
We are a limited market. Does the buyer want it as a weekend driver or DD? Two completely different sales pitches. Will they do the work themselves or dealer? It's hard to make a economic argument if your a dealer guy. Sorry about the rambling.
Good luck selling. PDP
