MSD ignition is different than the voltage clamp for the AMM. The MSD is about timing, and the voltage clamp is about the air going through the AMM.
I bought a car that had a divided downpipe, and then straight out, no cat/muffler. As soon as I put a bigger intercooler on it, the fuel cut came in when the voltage in the AMM exceeded the preset amount in the ECU. The voltage clamp stopped the fuel shutdown.
