Gentlemen, I need assistance!

Fellas,
should any of you have the suspension springs off your C900, then I genially ask you to spend a minute or two measuring their diameters (external) and wire thickness. If you feel you're not good at metric, I can live with your imperial results. It'll be very appreciated!
And there's the second question, which is... How do you read the suspension data on the page #76 in your owner's manual? It states:
[...]
Maximum deflection of springs:
Front 180mm
Rear 170mm
Dampers [...]
Maximum stroke when fitted:
Front 96mm
Rear 158mm
The dampers' stroke data appears to be pretty straight-forward (unless one reads the coil specs above), but springs deflection... I'm completely stuck, please advise. When reading the springs specs I come up the following variants:
- the difference in spring lengths between the free-length (like the spring is off the car on the bench) and length of the spring when mounted onto the car and the car is fully GAWR-loaded should not exceed the specified values
- the spring wear due to its age and mileage is normal when the suspension goes lowered by the magnitude X and this X is with-in the stated specs
- the suspension travel is considered to be safe (in other words: max stroke) if springs are compressed by the stated values. But this variant goes against the dampers stroke specification mentioned above.
Any word of wisdom?
Zig
