Rear Caliper Piston Won't Retract Far Enough Posted by Kirkster [Email] (#844) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Kirkster) on Wed, 7 Nov 2012 06:40:34 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I'm installing rebuilt calipers (1993 900s) and I've retracted the piston as far as it will go with the internal gear turned with the 4mm allen but it takes a soft mallet to force the loaded caliper (Bosch pads) over the new rotor (Brembo). No way will the rotor turn as the pads are so tight. The parking brake cables are not connected.
Exact same problem on both rears. Hoping someone has a fix for this short of sanding down the new pads. Thanks in advance.
