or access to good rebuilds? just being devils advocate...if you go the complete mod route that is being suggested.
how much does climate affect need for a modified intercooler? i would think in the northern states the need would be less than the southern states. being able to avoid all the mods to install a FMIC makes the project quite a bit simpler.
i put the 2.1L kit on an 86 SPG engine and using stock injectors and turbo was quite amazed at the increase in low end grunt and acceleration up to say 3,500 rpm. i didnt take it higher than that as it becomes a fueling issue at higher RPM's.
i just got my first vert (an 88 MT) and was surprised how much shake the chassis exhibits. is this the ideal chassis for performance mods, and how far does one go before the increased performance becomes too much for this model of vehicle?
