sad to see that vert smashed up like that... crappy luck tibbidoh... hope you can fix it! looks like it was very nice!
Our dealer is long gone but even a few years ago couldn't cut keys... fortunately any competent automotive locksmith can do it for a c900 as long as you have 1 good key (just get a real steel saab blank - cheapy brass ones might break off in the ignition)... newer 9-5's and NG9-3's are a whole other can of worms in that regard! Anyway, our dealer had no clue at all about the SRS system in the c900 - the manual says to have it tested after 10 years, and when I took it in and asked them to do that (when it turned 10 years old), they had no idea what I was talking about. Frankly as long as ours doesn't go off randomly, I don't care. Saabs were designed to be safe without airbags (and so all cars should in case for some reason they don't deploy). Our 1989 doesn't have airbags at all and I feel no less safe in it than in the 1993.
I recently garaged our nice c900 for winter (stabil, battery delete etc) and took it off insurance... then of course both the other cars decided it was the perfect time to cause trouble - bad tstat in the 9-5 and the brakes on the winter beater c900 rusted and are seizing up... almost enough for me to haul the nice one out of storage for a few more weeks, but I will prevail!
good luck.
