3M automotive mounting tape. You can get it in different thicknesses and widths at auto body supply stores. You need to get the old stuff off first. When you apply it to the car, don't peel the backing off all at once and then try to put the piece on the car. You'll never get it on straight. Just peel back enough to stick the end of the molding on the car, and flap the end of the backing up. Then peel it off upward as you align the molding on the car and apply pressure.
