Let us know what you find. The emergency flasher switch would surprise me, since the wiring that goes through that switch isn't "handed" and should affect both sides equally, but if that has been vsfoxe's experience (and you did something with the switch recently) go for it. That switch can definitely cause problems with the turn signals, I just wouldn't expect the problem to be isolated to a side, but by no means would I rule it out.
As a test, I really recommend turning on the park lights and the RH side turn signals, then looking for a bulb that should be flashing, but isn't, and examining the ground at that location. There are indeed a bunch of grounds under the trap door, and there's one for each taillight cluster (on a 3 door. Earlier 4 doors have only one ground there for both clusters, and it's an Achilles heel, which is why I asked which model you have.)
