As K-Saab stated lots of us have tried an '85 exhaust cam with some success! I say some success because when I did it I replaced the timing chain and tensioner so the amount of cam timing retard I was enjoying went away with the new chain! These cars love it when their cams are slightly retarded because when the intake valve closes a bit later the turbo will build more boost without the APC cutting it back. The exhaust cam being retarded (with the old chain) doesn't seem to hurt anything but it's not necessarily something I would do on purpose! By the way an '85 exhaust cam was still used the the early '86's, the way to tell is if the accompanying intake cam has noticeably less lift (3mm!) on one each of it's lobes. This intake cam should not be used! We stock custom ground 16 valve cams in two versions however I'd like to modify the cam sprockets instead so they can be adjusted to a small degree which would be much more affordable that a custom cam upgrade!
