I just ordered two Febi hydraulic mounts, and when I opened the box I found 1 Febi and 1 MTC. Obviously I'm returning the MTC, but I did a basic inspection.
The upper rubber collar on the Febi is MUCH softer. Also, with your hand you can push the Febi center bolt into the mount a bit, but the MTC is ROCK HARD. This would make sense if the MTC was solid rubber, as previous poster mentioned.
I've been suffering with engine vibration in the cabin at idle, and much more so at certain RPM ranges. I just replaced the passenger's-side mount yesterday and the vibrations are almost non-existent. Also, the old mount had collapsed so that the rubber collar was nearly flat to the body, whereas the new Febi holds the engine bracket almost an inch off the mount when installed. I can't wait to put the Febi on the driver's side as I'm sure it will be silky smooth after that! Not looking forward to the job...
