Your right about the rust. I try to stay on top of it by neutralizing the rust with Corroseal and top coating it with Rustolem. I'll have another look at the shock towers to make sure. I've even found rust in the corners behind the rear seats but nothing as bad as an old Triumph TR4A I've got that has floors and sills rusted out and part of the B posts! The heater core is out now waiting for the new heater valve to arrive. When the fuel pump goes does it give any warning or does it just quit? 220K on it.
