Cartersville is a bit of a haul from here. I'm in Tucker, just outside the NE quadrant of 285.
Supposedly there's still some Jim Ellis SAAB presence on Peachtree Industrial, at least that's what their live parts website appears to indicate. I'll have to e-mail them to see for sure.
Probably the plunger ears the Anders mentioned are kaput. Either that or some of the plastic mounting parts on the switch are kaput.
Follow Anders's direction on his post after yours to adjust the switch. To see what's inside the switches, do a G search for "Brake Light switch fix-all C900's", go to that site, and see how you can deal with it.
FWIW, I nabbed a brake light switch out of a '94 9k this morning. SAAB made it nearly inaccessible. It's behind the steering shaft. You can hear it click, and feel it, but I wasn't able to get it out without removing the brake and clutch pedals.
No doubt there's a way to get to it by removing the top of the dash, but I wasn't able to figure that out. At least I was able to nab a pair of passenger side assymetricals. No caps though ;-0
As much as I really want a 9k Aero, if I had one, I'd have to pay somebody else big bucks to work under the dashboard.
