Going through similar except my disc is contaminated with oil from another leak. Fortunately, my rms is still good, but I had to remove the flywheel and everything else just to make sure.
My opinion: replace the disc (~$104 from site sponsor)... sucks to have to go back in again if the cleaner doesn't work. Check your flywheel for glazing while its out too, might consider having it ground as well.
Of course, if my spg looked like your tally red one, I'd probably be done and driving it now instead of working.
Oh - make sure you use some thread sealer on the flywheel bolts.
