Issue 1: There is a belt squeak that will occur once in every 5 to 10 uses of the car. It usually starts at idle. I believe it to be the harmonic balance, though I do not know for sure. I have the part, should I just install it? I read a method involving paint to distinguish between belt squeak and harmonic balancer failure. Can anyone verify this?
Issue 2: I have noticed that switching gears is not as "responsive" as it used to be. I have not noticed much change in the performance of the shifter feel itself, but when I switch gears and let off the clutch(and give it gas) the "bounces" up to speed for lack of a better word. And its hard to get a nice smooth transition when switching gears. Mostly I notice this in shifting from 1 to 2. I do not know if this is a motor mount or a clutch issue. Any ideas? I guess I'll attempt to bleed the clutch and change the fluid(sounds tough).
Thanks for any input
