Refurbishing a cracked dash

Hey guys, I'm sick of my cracked dashes. Who has refurbished one with lasting success? Any suggestions on materials?
Thus far, I have tried filling with Gorilla glue, SEM flexible bumper filler, and Padded Dash Filler from Urathane Supply (this last one had the most success so far). Everything has cracked again after very little time.
For topping, I have tried 3 kinds of bed liner, 3 different paints, and PlastiDip. All of the bedliners cracked, paints did not have the right texture, and PlastiDip did not crack, but if there were any air bubbles underneath, it messed it up. Also tried various dash caps and they never fit quite right. Another interesting solution was covering with stretch vinyl. That was probably the best long-term solution yet. It lasted for years without any problems at all.
Looking for better, more permanent options if anyone has any.
