I haven't reported in on this yet, but the green monster vertible started last week for a fuel/ignition check. Hit the key, and boom it started after 3 years of reconstruction. Part of that was splicing in, as I recall, about 20 wires just forward of the ignition switch. The fuel gauge and level would flicker, and the running lights acted as if they weren't grounded.
Now, with the splicing completed, the fuel gauge and running lights don't falter, and all the electrical function seems to be restored.
I'd post the pictures of the burnt to a crisp wiring holder, but don't have a PG version of it........way too graphic for public viewing......
