I only ever had success with OEM Bougicord wires, or Magnecor wires. I even tried "Bosch" generic wires on a 99 once. They didn't fit properly on either the Bosch cap, or the Bosch plugs!
Same deal on the Volvo 945 I recently gave away. It had "generic" wires and had weird spark issues. A fresh set of Bougicords, cap, rotor & plugs later, and it was purring like a Swedish tractor again! :-)
