I've been driving my 92 900T in New England winters for 12 years, and she lived here her whole life and drove in all winters as far as I could understand from the PO...
It's been a BLAST using a SAAB for what she was designed for...Hakkas and snow baby, studs and ice, cold weather boosting and good heat.
Bu now, She's rotten as all get-out, but it took the whole 21 years to get there.
Up until this past inspection, there were no issues with rot-related safety rejections...but alas, this is becoming an impossible repair (frame rot, A-arm spanning region gone, lower body behind doors gone, trunk floor gone, holes in the floor where there used to be those drain holes, holes behind rear wheels, rust ahead of rear wheels into the interior below rear seats...its bad.
I'd say the car'd get at least 7 years of Super-salty love before there'd be major issues.
