Indeed I did! The big points of confusion are color and composition, though, as virtually every manufacturer has tweaked their specific formulation in one way or another. That causes significant problems with compatibility, and largely means that without specific knowledge you gotta stick with the manufacturer's recommendation or risk problems.
My effort is more geared towards retrofitting - c900s used green stuff with phosphates, and if you're not going to stick with that then choosing an alternative should probably be based on chemistry. The c900 cooling system is virtually entire rubber, aluminum, and iron - there aren't any plastic bits to worry about except possibly the radiator end tanks. As such, it probably really doesn't matter much what you use, so long as it's changed regularly and filled correctly.
As a point of interest, around Y2K I switched my '90 SPG to Dexcool. It was changed once in around '03 or '04 when I replaced the water pump. When it was smacked in '09, I pulled the drivetrain and found a spotless cooling system. Obviously it didn't mind the Dexcool! :)
I've tried several coolants in c900s and never really found any compelling evidence to choose one over the other - unless the environment is your concern, of course. ;)
