Similar thing happened with an MTC brand pulley I had. I should've tried installing the A/C pulley before putting the crank pulley on, but didn't. The aftermarket ones are sometimes not machined quite right. The inner hole of the A/C pulley has kind of a flange, which should seat between the three ears that house the bolt holes on the crank pulley. On mine, the flange was too large. You can file the A/C pulley's inner flange to make it fit, at least that's what I did.
Good luck! Let us know what your problem was. I'm kinda wishing I had gotten an OEM pulley now, just because that MTC one was not the best quality. But it's lasted five years with no problems.
