My son's '89 vert has the hook-in mounting on the front seats. I'm not sure if that is a manual vs. power seat issue for that year. He had manual seats. Everything else in the car's interior is primarily the same as the '91. We swapped in a '93 interior into his car (except for the front seats) and it all fit fine. There are minor changes--center floor console, rear seat bottom attachment, front seatbelt attachment, knee bolster, carpet--but most of those issues can be worked out. We put aftermarket racing seats in his car, so the front seat mounting was a different issue. You may be able to swap the seat base over, or you may have to weld in the later seat mounts. Either way, it's doable.
