SPG Trim Question

I've got an '89 SPG that had a lot of rust on the bottoms of both driver and passenger doors. I had been casually looking for replacments but was probably going to wait until next year. However, this has changed as I was side-swiped on Friday and my driver door is crumpled.
This leads to the question of whether or not I can attach the SPG trim pieces to a non-SPG door. I can find a lot of standard trim 2-door style doors, but not any SPG doors. If it's possible to do this, is it a difficult process?
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
