probably radio... Posted by Snowmobile [Email] (#686) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Snowmobile) on Sun, 22 Sep 2013 03:48:26 In Reply to: Radio? or Antenna?, Roy Cash, Sat, 21 Sep 2013 19:31:52 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
so when you turn it on, and turn up the volume (and all is good, eg, it is not waiting for the code), you get no sound whatsoever? or do you get static? what happens if you put a cassette tape in it? (my only use for cassette tapes anymore is in the c900's - ha!)
Basically, if your antenna is messed up, you should at least get static from the radio. Even if it doesn't go up, it should still pick up radio stations, just not as well. If there is a bad connection in the antenna cable or it is broken (speaking from experience) the radio will cut out and there will be static. In all these cases, if a tape goes in, it will play cleanly... so that will help you sort out where to look for trouble. Washing the car should not mess up the antenna, but if water got in the radio itself, yeah, that could cause problems!
