Just unhooked my '89 900 turbo from the tow truck. I bought it from a guy who got it running but said it had sat for about three years. Has 128K on the odometer. Was running on 3 cylinders when I bought it, so I changed the plugs and that fixed the miss. I had ball joints and tie rods put on it, and my mechanic said he had a hard time getting it started to get it on the lift and had to clean the new plugs I had just put on. Today I drove it to work, and it did alright, until it started "idling" at 2500-3000 rpm. Pulled it over and shut it off, then it wouldn't start. I'm wondering if maybe the engine is still cleaning itself out from sitting, (I haven't burned through an entire tank of gas yet)or if I may have another issue..Also I put on NGK type R plugs. Is this the right temp/type plug?
