But that's not the worst of it...
The pivot bolt for the adjuster arm also holds the timing chain cover on, and does so very closely to where the main oil gallery dead ends against the cover. I accidentally left that loose, and was rewarded by a bottom-end engine knock...
Oil pressure was never the same again.
