I had my 1990 convertible automatic transmission rebuilt. Now its leaking transmission and differential fluid. I found out it's the seal between the two. The original deal was I take the transmission out take it to him he rebuilt it I put it back in and 3000 miles later this is what has happened.now he wants to take it out and redo it I don't think it's worth it how much money do you think I should get back and I'll put a5 speed in it and then he won't have to do anything else.its leaking inside the transmission between the two things of fluid. And the only fix is to take it out and he wants to take it through the bottom and I don't want him to do that. I think it would be a better alternative for me just to put a5 speed in it, if it broke in three thousand miles whos to say it won't break again ,I just don't want to take that chance I'd rather put a5 speed in it. I paid $1000 for the rebuild. If he gave me back 700 I think that would be fair what does everybody else think.and its not that I think you did a bad rebuild I think the auto transmission is just old and outdated
