Probably best to take the board out of its case. It's easy - there are just a couple of tabs. The circuit board is simple - maybe a half dozen resistors, a 16 pin IC, a capacitor or maybe two, and what looks like a fuse. Oh, and a relay. I'd check the fuse first. It is soldered onto the board. I have a module that is not working and I've been meaning to do this.
This is such a simple board that if you own a soldering iron, I'd work with that first before baking it. If it's not the fuse it's probably the capacitor. I don't think that the chip or the half dozen resistors would have high probability of failing. You might also look at the contacts on the relay.
